  10. I worked at a school previously that had school uniforms and the students hated it, but the teachers loved it. It cut down on issues with gang colors being displayed as well as inappropriate dress.

  12. School uniforms will alleviate some of the bias in student relationships in the school. School uniforms take away one of the many teen distractions in the school.

  13. 2009-2010 was our first year implementing SMOD (standard mode of dress). It worked very well and certainly cut down on discipline issues with our students.

  14. Maybe have uniforms if the policy is enforced. Yes, I think they did help discipline when the policy was strictly enforced.

School uniforms worked well in our county the first year. However, the parents and students complained and the dress code policy was made less strigent.

Initially students could wear only black or khaki pants and polo shirts in just a few colors with no logos. Now they can wear any colored shirt.

The girls are wearing polos unbuttoned with their "girls" showing and the boys are wearing their pants so low we can see their underwear.

Right now the uniform policy in our school system is not effective.
